6 months and counting!
We turned 6 months old on December 4th! We had our Drs apt on the 10th and all is going well. We are in the 25th percentile for height and 15th percentile for weight, so that is great news for mom and dad. Claire weighs 13 lbs and 12 oz, Jocelynn weighs 14 lbs and 1 oz.
We are growing and developing nicely, the dr says. Right on track!
We have started eating solid foods! We love our rice cereal and just barely got to try squash and pumpkin and carrots. Claire is not too sure about the squash, but Jocelynn can't get enough of it!
We are still loving to roll over and play with our jungle toy. Claire rolls all around the room and has fun exploring all the stuff on the floor. Jocelynn still doesn't like to be on her tummy for very long, and prefers the Bumbo seat.
We are working on sitting up on our own. We can do it for a few seconds at a time before we get too excited and arch up or topple over. But we sure are cute!

These are the cute shirts from Dr Channel, mommy's favorite doctor! We finally fit into them now!

Photo update time!
Hi! Its been a while since we updated our blog, so today we both took turns screaming and crying our little brains out until mommy finally posted some super cute pictures of us. Here you go!
Arent we just so darn cute when we sleep? All snuggled up together... precious.
Claire got her first owwie... Sad. Mommy accidently cut her fingernail too short and it started bleeding. She was so strong and brave and didnt even cry a bit!

Stephen just left for his mission to Brazil. See you in 2 years!

Mommy hosted a Twilight movie release party. We dont know what that means, probably that the party was all about US US US!!!

5 Months old and Children's Therapy Update
note from mommy:
Claire and Jocelynn had a NICU follow-up appointment with the Children's Therapy people from Valley Medical. It went very well. They saw a Speech/Feeding Therapist and a Physical Therapist. This is standard for all patients in the NICU to see them, so they just wanted to make sure they were on track because a lot of the times premature babies can be delayed in these areas.
We are happy to report that everything is on track and they are doing exceptionally well. The physical therapist says they are acting more like 6 month olds than 5 month olds, let a lone their 4 month old "adjusted" age!). So that was awesome to hear.
The physical therapist had them each on their backs and presented them with different toys to see if they would grab for it and put it to their mouths. They also saw them each roll over and were impressed that they roll from their back to their front. Claire is very close to sitting up on her own and they told us to practice using the boppy to support her. Jocelynn is not as strong with her balance but not very far behind her sister.
The speech/feeding specialist asked us a lot of questions about the sounds they are making, their reactions to our sounds, and the different types of sounds they should be doing soon. They are right on track with their vocalization and she was very impressed with how social they are, smiling whenever people talk to them. Then she watched them each drink a bottle and made sure they were on track with how fast they should be eating. She suggested Claire should use the next size up nipple to get more faster, so we will try that. Then she spoke about introducing semi solid foods into their diets like rice cereal and strained vegetables. We will probably start rice cereal next month and introduce other things slowly.
So all in all it was a good appointment! We will see them again in 6 months, so when the girls are about 10 months old.

4 Month Update
We just had our 4 month doctors appointment and all is doing well!
Here are our statistics:
Claire is 11 pounds 8 ounces, and in the 10th percentile for weight. She is also in the 25th percentile for height and 3rd percentile for head size.
Jocelynn is 12 pound .5 ounces and in almost the 15th percentile for weight. She is also 25th for height and 3rd for head size as well.
The doctor says we are growing very well and are very social. We have started putting our hands and toys in our mouths, which Mommy thinks is so cute! We are hungry little girls and mommy is starting to supplement with a little bit of formula for us once a day. She found out this helps us to sleep longer through the night. So that is good for everyone!
Claire just started rolling over and Jocelynn is so close! She likes to get up on her side and just stay there!

4 Months Old!
On October 4 we turned 4 months old! We are growing so fast and are almost out of the size 1-2 diapers. We fit into size 3 month clothes, and have lots of cute outfits given to mommy from her baby showers (see previous post).
We go to our 4 month check up next week and are excited to see how much we have grown!
Claire is a solemn girl, but Daddy is the best at making her laugh!
Here we are wearing big girl jeans on our 4 month birthday! So cute!
Jocelynn thinks because she is bigger that she is older, but really Claire is the big sister!
We ride like big girls in the stroller with no car seats!
Mommy got us a Bumbo seat and we LOVE to sit up and see what is going on around us!
