A Note from Mommy

I just recently watched a Jane Goodall documentary about chimps. I thought I was watching my own little girls! Those little monkeys were flying all over the place, hooting and hollering at the top of their lungs, and nothing could contain them! They were just like my two little 2 year old girls. Minus all the hair and crinkly little faces! All day long these girls keep me on my toes. They are so full of energy and are so active from the time they get out of bed to the time they get back in, and sometimes a little bit more.

Here is a funny story for the history pages:

This mommy has been attempting to take these two girlies out by myself more lately and I though they were getting more used to it. And I thought they were becoming better behaved when at public places. HA.HA.HA.

All I needed was two things from the electronics department, so I decided to just take the girls in by hand. Unfortunately I think they viewed the electronics department as a toy store free for all. They were off in two different directions before I knew what was going on! So I went in search of a cart to put them in. Yeah right! Once they had seen what they could do in the store on foot, they would not be contained! (If you know my children at all you know that any type of straps or restraint is laughable to these monkey girls)

THEN they found the rolling ladder thingy that is only for employees and it was chaos! Long story short: There was a lot of screaming (girls), whispered threats (me), bribery (me), and crying (girls). Ultimately we ended up leaving the cart in the middle of the aisle while I grabbed a child in each arm and marched out to the car. No purchases made. Time outs ensued.

All I could think of was - I brought two wild monkeys into the electronic store. There is really no one to blame but myself.

The End
